Description
An introduction to New Zealand’s archaeological history, from early Māori origins through the early periods of Western contact (c. 1840s). Tropical Polynesian adaptations to New Zealand’s temperate climate, patterns of resource use and environmental change, development of Māori’s rich material culture and arts, classic Māori society and cultural interactions with new arrivals in the historic period.
