Description

In this course you will gain knowledge of basic Samoan by developing skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. The emphasis here is on the development of a working vocabulary and elementary Samoan for use in greetings and conversations in a variety of everyday contexts. Although you will focus on the communicative use of basic Samoan, you should also be able to understand what you hear, read and write. At the end of the course you should have a degree of fluency. May not be taken by students who are already fluent in Samoan.
