TUTORIALS
There is a tutorial every week on Thursday and Friday from week 3.
There is NO tutorial in Week 1.
In WEEK2, instead of the usual tutorial, we have a library training, which will be held in the General Library - please refer to your coursebook). Please look at the end of this page for the time.
Tutorials are an integral part of the course, and topics are closely linked to lectures. They provide students with an opportunity to discuss specific issues relevant to the lectures, as well as practising research skills, and developing essay-writing skills. The weekly tutorial reading material is in the course book. Reading the relevant article before a tutorial will make the tutorial much more comprehensible and worthwhile.

Which stream do I go? How do I sign up?
Tutorial Selection will be done through nDeva.The number of students for each stream is limited, and the stream signup will be locked automatically as soon as a stream becomes full; so please select your stream early.
Monday Week 3 is the last day for selecting/changing the stream. After that date, you must attend that stream throughout the course. Only under EXCEPTIONAL circumstances with SUPPORTING DOCUMENT such as medical certificate, you will be allowed to change your stream. If you need to change stream after Monday Week 3 (either permanently or for any specific week), please consult us with your supporting evidence.
WEEK2 LIBRARY TUTORIAL
In week 2, we will have a training session in Computer Training room, Level 3, General Library.
There are only 6 streams of library tutorial: please pre-select one stream by the end of the Week 1, using the bookings database of the library at: http://www.library.auckland.ac.nz/booking/1coursepage.asp#410 This is a separate from your usual streams. Please refer to your coursebook for details.
The library training sessions are held at: Thu 12th March 2009: 12, 1; Fri 13th March 2009: 9, 10, 12. Please choose ONE.
WEEK3- TUTORIALS
Week 3 onwards, tutorials will take place in the usual tutorial rooms at usual time.
