Beginners' Spanish 1
Description
Provides a solid grounding in the basic grammar and vocabulary of Spanish for beginners or near beginners, emphasising communicative competence in the present tense. Develops speaking, listening, reading and writing skills, and prepares students at the A1 Level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

This textbook, which you must bring to every class, consists of 10 units (0-9). In SPANISH 104, we cover Unidades 0, 1, 2, 3 & 4. If you continue into SPANISH 105, you will cover Unidades 5, 6, 7, 8 & 9 there. Each unit includes sections on grammar, vocabulary, and culture along with listening and reading comprehension exercises. For easy access, the accompanying audios and videos have been uploaded to the course website. These audiovisual materials expose you to a variety of voices, dialects, and speaking styles, and thus, will help you to improve your language skills.
