ENGLISH 248
Popular Fiction
Description
Popular Fiction offers a critical study of literature in genres such as speculative fiction, thrillers, horror, Westerns, romance, or crime. This course will emphasise both pleasure and rigour, as our reading of texts from different genres of popular fiction will be supported by discussion of theoretical issues including historical contexts and critical responses to these genres.
For full course information see the Digital Course Outline.
