Description
Aim: To develop an analytical ability as a linguist to examine and explain linguistic phenomena in Japanese, within a limited scope.
You will
- Study aspects of the Japanese language, such as topicalisation, subjectivity, argument structure, transitivity, passives, benefactive constructions, three way deictic system, ellipsis, speech style and honorific system
- Consult primary data to collect target examples, analyse them and discuss findings in oral and written reports, while linking the discussion to the literature
