Heritage Conservation in Aotearoa
Description
This course presents an overview of the principles of conservation and concentrates on rationale rather than treatment. Special emphasis is given to the fields of: conservation of place, Maori built heritage, archaeological, fine art, and museum based collections. The course equips students with a cultural orientation to conservation where issues are examined through several contexts including anthropological studies and conservation science.
