PHIL 730

Philosophy of Law

Description

Legal ethics has recently taken what has been called a ‘jurisprudential turn’, giving rise to ‘philosophical legal ethics’.  Philosophical legal ethics views the role of lawyers from the perspective of the philosophy of law, and political and moral philosophy. In this course we will consider a range of classic and contemporary contributions to this emerging area.
