Covers diverse topics relating to the body in contemporary art including: the body as abstract expression; form and chaos; the imaginary world of puppets, automata and cyborgs; painting and performance; pain and endurance; postcolonial discourse and feminism; masculinity and athleticism; the role of photographic documentation; prosthetics and technology and the impact of the structures and logics of the internet upon bodies.
