Intermediate Modern Chinese 2

Description

This course is the continuation of CHINESE 200 and further develops skills in grammar, vocabulary and conversational skills necessary to communicate with educated native speakers. 

This course covers Lessons 1-8 of the textbook.  You will also be introduced to word processing in Chinese on the computer.  This would be especially beneficial if you plan on working at places where Chinese is used, in the future. 

Learning Outcomes

If you meet all the requirements set in this course, at the end of this course you will:

  • ave gained a wider, more sophisticated vocabulary used in modern Chinese;
  • be able to read more advanced texts on general topics about life and culture;
  • have improved your ability to write in accurate Chinese on various topics on experiences, culture, current affairs and everyday life;
  • have improved your ability to talk to others about experiences, culture, current affairs and everyday life;
  • have developed a deeper knowledge about the Chinese language and Chinese culture in general.
