Chinese Pedagogical Grammar 1

Description

You will learn how to diagnose in a linguistically-informed manner the common pronunciation difficulties encountered by English-speaking learners of Mandarin Chinese and learn how to make use of this specialised knowledge to devise practical, linguistically-informed and appropriate methods for assisting students in understanding and correcting these errors. Students will learn basic concepts in articulatory phonetics and contrastive analysis and will become familiar with the relevant literature and available resources in this area.
