Feminist Film Theory

Description

Examines the long and rich tradition of feminist film theory and provides students with an understanding of its concerns through particular case studies. Topics will include the Anglo-American feminist film theorists of the 1970s and 1980s, avant-garde feminist film-making, feminine monstrosity and feminist camp, as well as recent film reconceptualisations of gender, sexuality and power.
