German Language Introductory 2


Description

This course is designed to advance your written and oral use of German from proficiency level A1 to A2. To be eligible for this course, you should have passed GERMAN 101 or have at least 16 credits in NCEA Level 2 German. The approach is communicative, with German used wherever possible as the language of instruction. The course aims to enable you to use German in everyday situations.

With successful completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Understand sentences and frequently used expressions that will be most relevant to you (e.g., very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment)
  • Communicate in simple and routine tasks with simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters
  • Describe in simple terms your immediate environment and things you need
