Description

An introduction to research methods and practices in linguistics. The course is intended to develop research skills through a combination of lectures and practicum sessions, and will include the proposal, development and completion of a research project.

Course outcomes

A student who successfully completes this course will have the opportunity to:

Acquire an understanding of how linguistic research is carried out
Acquire skills in scientific writing and referencing in the field of linguistics
Gain experience with different types of writing relating to a research project
