Foundations of Screen Production

Description

Students will be exposed to the concepts, working methods and technical aspects of narrative screen production (drama and documentary). Through a series of workshops, exercises and lectures, students will be instructed in basics of production, cinematography, editing and the broad technical skills required to create well-crafted, proficiently made, time-based projects for the screen.

Class limits information for 2017: Enrolment is limited to 50 students. On-time applications will be selected on the following criteria, ranked in order of importance: 1) Completion of FTVMS 100, 101 and SCREEN 201; 2) Grades in FTVMS 101 and SCREEN 201; 3) The qualitative evaluation of the application including evidence of creative lateral thinking and personal statement of intent; 4) GPA
