Creating Serial Narratives

Description

SCREEN 302 is a course centred on creating scripted, dramatic narratives.

Building on the work done at Stage 2 screen students will look at such things as analysing and breaking down scripts, on set protocols, aspects of pre-production and more advanced technical techniques in production and post production.

This will be an intensive practical course with emphasis on the doing aspect of film making in workshop style classes.

Assignments will be practice based.

 

Class limits information for 2020: Enrolment is limited to 20 students. Students must have successfully completed both SCREEN 200 and 201. This class has limited places in order to allow for adequate attention to each student. It is workshop based with project based writing/reading/making. As part of the SCREEN Stage III program it must align with attendance in other courses to maintain parity and student scheduling. Selection will also be made based on the application form in which student rank their preferences.
