Directed Study in Biblical Studies

Description

This course allows students to develop, under supervision, a research project in the area of biblical studies. Working with a supervisor, you will plan and construct a thesis question and research essay proposal, search for relevant literature and other resources, compile an annotated bibliography of your sources and finally, write your research essay. The course is a great introduction for postgraduate students to doing research and will teach you skills required for successfully completing an independent research project.

The course assessments typically include:

  • Initial research question and essay proposal
  • Annotated bibliography
  • Research essay (usually 4000-4500 words)
