A History of the Apocalypse

Description

An “apocalypse” is a divine revelation about the shape of history and the end of time. It is written for a society in crisis, often describing that society’s collapse before the coming of a better world. This course traces apocalyptic thought from its origins in the ancient Middle East through its development in the Abrahamic religions (Judaism, Christianity and Islam) to its expression in contemporary global cultures and politics.
