Professional English Communication for Translators

Description
This course aims at improving the professional communication skills of student translators from non-English-speaking backgrounds. It provides students with guidelines on how to produce clear, concise and correct technical texts in English through practical advice on editing and revising techniques, and focuses on the production of clear, concise and correct written discourse in English. The course also provides students with practical advice and techniques on how to check both non-translational texts and draft translations for errors and make appropriate amendments, with special attention to making said texts suitable for their readers and intended use.
