Wang Wei
Wang Wei (701-761) was one of the greatest poets of the High Tang dynasty in China. He was known for his Buddhist poems which addressed the illusory nature of beauty and the physical world. As well as being a poet, Wang Wei was a painter of some note and the delicate, atmospheric nature of his art is reflected in his poetry.
