WHAT TUTORS DO AND WHAT YOU MAY EXPECT:
Tutors provide both an intellectual and administrative link between students and this paper. They facilitate discussion about films, readings, and assignments, and they answer questions about paper related materials and about study. Tutors direct students to relevant resources and assess student work. They hold office hours for student consultation and provide administrative assistance if necessary.
Tutors are not available to read complete drafts of papers or proof essay drafts by email but can offer advice on content and in some instances make suggestions on small sections of prose. For more extensive help with writing please consult one of the resources listed in Additional Learning Resources.
There is considerable benefit in not only attending tutorials but also actively participating so that your tutor knows who you are and has knowledge of your ability to take part in tutorial discussion. It a large stage 1 class it is important that you actively engage in a small group learning environment.
